Since winning the Democratic primary in March, Julie has continued spending her time where she believes public service begins: in the community.
Over the past several months, Julie has supported local food drives benefiting families and seniors, participated in community events throughout Kane County, advocated for mental health awareness, environmental stewardship, public safety, and equal rights, and celebrated the diversity that makes local communities stronger. From Aurora GreenFest and community garden projects to Pride Month celebrations, neighborhood gatherings, and civic engagement events, she has remained focused on listening, learning, and showing up.

These experiences reinforce what has always guided Julie’s approach to public service: strong communities are built when neighbors help neighbors, when everyone feels welcomed and respected, and when residents stay engaged in the issues that affect their daily lives. As she continues her campaign for Kane County Board District 11, Julie remains committed to transparent, fiscally responsible government that works for everyone while protecting the values that make Kane County such a wonderful place to live, work, and raise a family.

Julie is grateful for the encouragement and support she has received since the primary election and looks forward to continuing conversations with residents across District 11 in the months leading up to the general election in November.
